Indications

Chronic cough and asthma, nocturnal emission and frequent urination, chronic diarrhea, spontaneous and night sweating, thirst due to fluid damage, shortness of breath and weak pulse, internal heat and thirst, palpitations and insomnia

Contraindications

Caution should be taken in cases with exterior pathogenic factors, internal excess heat, initial stages of cough, or initial stages of measles

Description

Schisandra is the dried ripe fruit of Schisandra chinensis (Turcz.) Baill. from the family Magnoliaceae. It is commonly known as 'Northern Schisandra'. Harvested in autumn when the fruit is ripe, dried in the sun or steamed and then dried in the sun, and the fruit stalks and impurities are removed.
